Dirt biking in the Fort Ord National Monument (FONM) by Paul Lerma. Largely an undisturbed habitat FONM consists of oak-studded coastal hills, sand dunes with vegetation, bare sand dunes and beach. Truly a bucket-list destination for anyone with a mountain bike. Enjoy the scenery, a good change in elevation and the AC provided by the bay. 2244 lived nearby early childhood and holds this place as special but it will strike any passerby the same. Much to do in Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Big Sur but don't miss this. Also if you like golf the Bayonet GC in these hills is a test of golf skill and ability to pay attention amongst unmatched views of the bay.
