Texas High School 6A Baseball-Friday May 8th 2026. #11 Luke Rafferty shutout O'Connor yielding three hits while striking out 9 in six innings. #33 Anderson Gerault in relief retired O'Connor in the top of the 7th inning with a strikeout, strikeout and fly out to end the game.

Hayden Chung scored Westlake’s second run coming in from second base on Collard’s single.

#1 Lance Johnson doubled off the right field wall in the fifth inning. That was a four run inning increasing Westlake's lead from 2-0 to 6-0.

Westlake (21-18) celebrates the area win and will face Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) (27-7) in the regional semifinal series in Corpus Christi Thursday May 14th, in San Antonio Friday and Saturday (if needed). PSJA advanced with a 7-1 win over Clemens. This game against O'Connor was at Texas State Bobcat Stadium.
