Texas High School Girls 6A Basketball-West Lake Hills, Texas, Friday evening January 9th 2026. Key players for Westlake, Tamia King and Geralynn Byers-Veal and a key player for Lake Travis, #23 Taryn Bussinger, got in early foul trouble and sat out most of the first two quarters. Scoring slowed with Westlake leading 8-6 after the first quarter and 15-10 after the second quarter. Westlake, with a full starting five, then put on a 19-8 run to lead 34-18 after the third quarter. Westlake showed good stamina and closed out the game 15-2 for a 49-20 win. Westlake is now 27-0 and 4-0 in district play. Above Tamia King controls the tip against #23 Taryn Bussinger.
