Texas Girls 6A Basketball Playoffs-New Braunfel Texas-Friday evening February 20th 2026-Westlake took the lead for good with 6:55 remaining in the second quarter. Great team play on defense and offense led to a convincing 45-21 Area Championship over Sotomayor. Score by Quarter 8-10, 24-10, 35-12 and 45-21. Sotomayor scored first and led 10-8 after the first quarter but Westlake upped the defense and blanked Sotomayor on a 16-0 second quarter run.
