Around Austin-The Longhorns repelled the Road Runners of UTSA who arrived with and executed a great game plan (Coach Jeff Taylor) in the first half leading to a 17-17 tie at the half. Left-handed Quarterback Frank Harris and capable receivers created pressure for the Longhorns. The Road Runners were successful in one sequence on an onside kick and then an option pass for a touchdown to lead the longhorns 17-7 with 9:36 left in the second quarter. USTA was then outscored 24-3 rest of game that pivoted on a pass interception for a touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. UT especially dominated in the running game.
