Traffic Signal First Light

Around Austin-TXDOT installed Traffic Signals show first light yesterday at RM2244 and Weston Lane. This signal will serve One World Theatre, four office buildings, Schoenstatt Catholic Church, House on the Hill Event Venue and a section of Rob Roy on the Lake. Sadly, this intersection and within a mile each way, according to long-time residents, the scene of nine traffic deaths and many injuries since 1996 with two deaths in 2020. 2244 still believes the speed limit needs adjusting to 45 MPH down from 60 MPH between Barton Creek Blvd and Marly Way.
