On his "Winter Solo Tour" Patterson Hood, of Drive By Truckers, completes his second show tonight at Cactus Cafe 8PM. To the delight of his fan base last night, the Florence Alabama native mixed in favorites, deep and new tracks. Patterson supplemented his often amusing storytelling with his thumb and index fingerpicking style creating a banjo-like drone alternatively with engaging walking-bass lines. A highlight was his rendition of "Uncle Disney" from his "Killers and Stars" released in 2004. "When they thaw out Uncle Disney. All of us toons gonna be just fine. America's just a giant theme park.
