In the waning seconds #30 Geralynn Byers-Veal heads to the hoop being fouled on the successful shot. Geralynn, who hit all her free throws in the game, made the "1" leaving 0.8 seconds for Sotomayor. Looking on for Sotomayor is #23 Jordan Pete, Sr. PG., who entered the game averaging 18.9 PPG, 4.2 DEFR and 2.6 OFFR (maxpreps.com). Jordan was stymied by Westlake's great defensive plan and execution. Near the end of the game the Sotomayor coach, Kelli Goble, pulled out Jordan giving the crowd the opportunity to salute her accomplishments. It was a moment recognized by all.
