Nepenthe

Around Big Sur-The view south from Nepenthe, Wednesday August 26th 2026. Smoke from the Timber fire dominated the environment and the conversation at Nepenthe. Due to the fire, Nepenthe was previously closed for ten days and then closed again on August 27th. As of September 1st, a new fire has erupted doubling the involved area to 27,000 acres.
