Lady Austin Maroons Sharp in 58-30 Win Over The Westlake Lady Chaps

Texas Girls High School Basketball-#5 Megan Shultz reserve point guard scores a layup late in Westlake's 30-58 loss to the Texas 29th Ranked Austin High Maroons. Austin rarely let up on full court pressure that led to many Chap turnovers facilitating Austin's sharp passing and quick offense leading to 12-5 first quarter, 19-5 second quarter. Westlake battled hard with good defensive rebounding and aggressiveness to the loose ball. On offense Westlake was unable to create easy baskets leading to cold shooting and below average scoring (30 Vs. 39.7). Austin High scored above their average of 53.7 and now lead the district at 6-0 while Westlake's record moves to 5-1. See below or swipe for more snapshots.

Austin scored many free-throws. Austin demonstrated give-and-go, pick and roll and rapid passing back-out to a well-positioned player.
