Jason Bonham & Group

Around Austin-Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience hit the Paramount Theatre's Sold Out crowd with much anticipation. Jason (Drums), James Dylan (Vocals), Dorian Heartsong (Bass), Alex Howard (Keys,Guitar,Vocals) and Jimmy Sakurai (Lead Guitars) didn't disappoint. The show featured the entire 1975 12X Platinum "Physical Graffiti" album. The standout tune from that volume was "Khashmir." Among other classics covered were "Good Times Bad Times", "Whole Lotta Love" and "Rock and Roll." Khashmir featured haunting and syncopated keyboard by Dorian Heartstrong, lead guitar by Tokyo's Jimmy Sakurai and vocals with much crowd participation by James Dylan. Good Times Bad Times featured flawless, maybe better than Jimmy Page, solo by Jimmy Sakurai. Jimmy was amazing, fluid, true to the original Jimmy Page passages, yet impeccable on every tune. Jason Bonham, shown above, didn't miss a beat all show and carried off the drum solo, as good or questionably better that his father John Bonham (1948-1980) the founding drummer of Led Zeppelin, on Whole Lotta Love. John Bonham's portrait in his prime is the image on the bass drum. See more below.
