Around Austin-ACL Music Festival-Honestav @honestav rocked open the Beat Box stage Friday October 3rd 2025. Honestav, from a small town near Springfield Missouri, says "I wrote these in my little apartment"..."this is my first ever festival"...."but I've never done a lunch show or any show in the light of day." His sampled music, the streaming video of hometown scenes like stoney parties and cross-country rides, his lyrics and his delivery resonated with a crowd that grew as the set went on." Memorable lines abound, a few examples "I could be a rock star and smoke weed"..."I hate this warehouse but at least I'm getting paid"...."I wish you was holding me close...please don't walk away"...."If only you loved me like that guy I just can't let you go."
