Westlake took an early lead on a three from #24 Mack Martin, then fouled on a three Mack completed three Free Throws for a 6-0 Westlake lead. End of Q1 Westlake 13 Harlan 12. Westlake then outscored Harlan 13-7 in Q2 to lead by 7, 26-19 at the intermission. Westlake widened the margin to 15 with a 17-9 Q3 for the 43-28 lead. In control and with the clock becoming an issue, Harlan fouled much and Westlake made free throws for a 23-18 Q4 and the 66-46 Area Championship win.
